RECAP: 3-DAY TRAINING OF MDAs ICT DESK OFFICERS ON NIGER STATE WEB PORTAL

A 3-day training was organized by Niger State Ministry of Tertiary Education, Science & Technology (MTEST) in collaboration with JD Lab Nigeria Limited on 17th – 19th February 2020.

The objective of the training is to strengthen Desk Officers in the skills of ICT for uploading data on the Web Portal.

It was an intense and inspiring 3-day training, it was also an opportunity to reflect on the progress of the Web Portal and a to connect and network.

The First Day of the Training

Opening Remark by the Director ICT MTEST

The participants registered for the training. The opening remark was made by the Director ICT MTEST, Mr. Ibrahim Gaba, in his remark he explained the objective of the training and encouraged participants to focus on the training.

JD Lab was the consultant who facilitated the 3-day training , during the training they stated the significance of the Web Portal and the participants had a glance at the Web Portal.

Day Two

The training was opened with a welcome note. During the training, participants were taught:
• The functions of each navigation on the web portal.
• They were introduced to webmail, and its importance.
• They were also taught how to upload contents to the post collector.

Questions were asked by participants and they were given a do-it-yourself task.

Day three (3) CLOSING
The Permanent Secretary MTEST, Engineer Abubakar Y. Salihu was present to share a few words with the participants (Desk Officers).

He applauded JD Lab for her creativity and professionalism which can be seen in the Web Portal that was built for Niger State. nigerstate.gov.ng

He urged the participant to be better and to deliver CHAP (Creativity, Hospitality, Ability and, Professionalism) at all times.

During the training, some questions, concerns, and suggestions were shared and answers were provided.

After the training, he issued the certificate to participants.
